Free to a good home... 'Martin Frobisher'

I have a rooted runner from 'Martin Frobisher' free to anyone who would like to pick-up or meet within 25 miles of Muskego, Wisconsin.

It has been severed from the main root for about 2 weeks now, and was treated with Vitamin B1 to stimulate root growth and is doing well. It will remain in the ground until someone adopts it.t

May I just say how nice to care enough for a rose to offer to drive 25 miles, and go to all the inconvenience to place it in a home. Pretty wonderful!

Dang, I am almost close enough! I am about an hour from Beloit. but my mom is in Oregon, maybe we can work something out. What a beautiful bush!

I have essentially every weekend in June taken up by necessary trips. What's the latest you would feel comfortably digging the sucker? And would I need to pot it or could it go in the gorund and survive the winter?

I will pot it for you. I would leave it potted for at least a month. From there on it should survive the winter in the ground, but don't overfeed it so it has a definite chance to harden off for winter. Give it light feedings of liquid fertilizers like Miracle-Gro for Roses at 1/2 the suggested rate once or twice a month until the beginning of August. Then let it harden off.

I will get it potted up this weekend and nurse it until you adopt him.:)

Awesome!! I bet I can get up there maybe the first weekend of July. Maybe that's a bad choice because of the holiday. I'll message you!

It has since bloomed and has more buds on it.
