Oh dear, how dreadful. If I'm not mistaken I think everything you had is on your old hard drive. Maybe a computer teckie could retreive it all..

buuummmmerrrr. sorry to hear that. what a pain.

My husband is (what I call) a computer genius and more often than not...or almost always, he is is able to retrieve data. I think if you find someone who knows what they are doing, they can save it for you...I don't know if the average repair guy does much for these types of things, but someone who is a pro. should be able to do it.
A few months ago some people at church told us all their wedding pictures had been lost when they thought their hard drive was lost. They had taken it to a repair place and told there was no hope, but my husband was able to retrieve everything...so, this is why I say, I think that if you take it to someone who you can be sure knows something, they may actually be able to help you.
