Rogue Valley's bands are about the same size as Heirloom's (possibly a little smaller), Northlands and RU's roses are definitly larger. I've ordered from Rogue Valley a number of times, but have never ordered their gallon plants until this past week, but they are being delivered bareroot in January. I've never has any problems with the company. They've always quickly replaced any roses that I didn't feel arrived healthy.

As for the size of their gallons, I would say like any nursary, it would vary by plant. I know that I can order 5 gallons from the same seller, and receive 5 plants of various sizes. It will also depend on that types of roses you're ordering.

Sorry I don't have direct experience with their gallons, but this might at least give a little insight.

I have gotten a few one gallon roses from them. Two were small, but they are small varieties. The third was pretty good sized. All grew like gangbusters, which is more important to me than initial size. I can't compare with RU because I've never ordered from them.
