My friends on facebook are voting for geranium maculatum. I zoomed in on the leaves and there appear to be very subtle differences between the two. I'm off to check the cransbill now. Thanks to all of you for your help and I'll let you know. Fortunately, no one's life depends on an exact identification - just a friend who loves plants but is stuck and curious. It's nice to know this site exists, since when I moved from my native Mississippi to New Hampshire, I'm constantly running into both wildflowers and cultivars I can't readily identify.

I found a stunning granite in a local shop 3 years ago but couldn't afford it. Now, I'm doing a master bath remodel and I'd like to find this color again but I never wrote down the name. Does anyone know the name of this granite?
