lol - several times already. I dump lightly 'used' potting soil into a tub that I use for containers/baskets - I fill the botton with the used soil and the top 4" with new soil. I have had some interesting surprises.....

The thing is, after doing this for a few years, you'd think I wouldn't pull a stunt like that, eh? Good thing I placed all my 'really want it, but it hasn't sprouted' in a special spot a few days ago. This must be something which I'd already planted lots off. We'll see! :O)

Yep Lynne I do stuff like that all the time when I'm working with seeds especially if I start to rush. I WSed 2 kinds of peppers in 1 jug 1/2 on one side and 1/2 on the other drew a line on the lid and named each side so I'd know which was which. Well I started to get some sprouts and eventually off came the lid but yep you guessed it I forgot to make any new marks on the bottom of the jug saying who's who and threw away the lid. Duh
