Dahlia 'Early Bird'. These I started indoors because last years attempt at spring sowing Dahlia 'Bishops Grandchildren' was not a good outcome; I think they got too much exposure to cold and became stunted. These ones here are a dwarf and supposed to be early bloomers. I'm waiting! BTW for the 2nd time now I've dug up and moved my 'Bishop's Grandchildren'! This time the earwigs had reduced much of them to shred :( This new spot has had earwig traps set out for about a week now and are almost completely filled up! EEW!
