In Help re Overwintering Musa Basjoo in Canada

Hello .. I find myself in need of a little bit of help in overwintering my Musa Basjoo. One I will keep in its pot in the house but in the crawlspace .. the other is going to stay outside with winter protection to see if it will survive. I was considering overwintering the potted one in the ground close to the foundation of my house with added protection.

I was wondering if anyone in Ontario has been successful in overwintering outdoors and what they used for protection. I would really appreciate any advise.

Also .. should I divide the pups from the mother plant prior to wintering them??
