Do you think I cooked my hyacinth beans?

Paperwhite gave me a hyacinth bean pod at the garden party. It fell out of my purse and was on my truck seat, in the blazing sun. I just cracked the pod open and the beans look like they would look if they had started to germinate. In other words, a little something is peeking out. Are they ruined, or is this normal?

Nope, actually, it sounds like they're beginning to sprout. Were they in a baggie? Better plant those puppies in moist soil ASAP.

Yes, they were in a baggy. Ok! I'll plant them right now! Thanks!

A few minutes later... after forgetting to hit the "Submit Message" button... hyacinth seeds are planted in plastic containers and set in the garden to be further attended to in the morning. That was a close one. Thank goodness for the moon. And, thank goodness for you, Pagancat. I hope it's not too late.

So, is this standard procedure for germinating hyacinth bean seeds? Scorching them in plasic bags on truck seats? Just curious... :-)
