Well, I dont know where everyone else is, but I am sick.
Glad things are going well there. Give your sister and yourself a hug from me.
I started eggplant, tomatoes, and watermelon. Hoping they go well..it's my first time..only other veggie/fruit I have done is strawberries. Also started some more flower seeds in the last few days...thunbergia, moon flowers, Edna's vigna caracallas, Trying to get my caladiums, & EE's started early. Some banana rhizomes also..I dont know what I am doing with them nanas, lol. Tried overwintering them, I just got them in the fall. I am pretty clueless there.
Hope you have some big buds waiting at home for you, so they can bloom as soon as you get home, and put a smile on your face.
I know..that pirate talk was stuck in my head too, lol.
    Keep poppin in..we miss ya!
    (((hugs)))

    Hi Kylie!
No veggies yet, I started some geraniums(pelargoniums) quit a while ago, and a few weeks ago I planted some phaseolus and sang seeds, also started my vigna caracallas recently. Thinking of nice weather......when is your danger of frost over everyone aka when can you plant out? Not til end of may/early June for me :(

    Hi Kylie,

I'm happy things are turning out well for your sister, and you can go home soon.

I'm bad about starting veggies or salad greens from seeds. I usually go to the nursery and buy the starter plants of heirloom tomatoes, some chili pepper, mix greens, and Japanese cucumbers. I still have lots of salad greens and Italian parsley growing outside that I use for salads.

Just today, I planted some of Edna's vigna caracalla seeds. I think by the time Edna is done sharing her seeds, every state will be growing this vine, lol!

Saturday, we are going to the Santa Barbara Orchid Show, which is my annual trip there. I usually buy a couple of plants, but nothing too expensive. After Santa Barbara, we always go to some of the greenhouses where they have rows and rows of flowering cymbidiums -- pretty spectacular!

Take care Kylie, and I hope all your beautiful brugs give you a wonderful welcome when you get home.

Kylie, I am glad everything is going well with your sister. Send her a hug for me and tell her to keep her chin up. We are all praying for her a speedy recovery. I have been really busy and miss talking to everyone on here. I am so behind I am afraid to plant anymore seeds til things slow down at work a little. Now I am starting to focus on getting my beds done and some trellis built for my vines. It was 26 here last night. I hope you didn't kick the plants out already! Warming back up the rest of the week. I hope we don't have a late hard freeze like last Easter. I am ready to get some stuff outside too.

Kylie, I am so glad your sister is doing well. I just pop in and out, I work from 7:30am to 6pm , and between American Idol on Tues-Thrus, and watering my plants, I hardly have time to sneak a peak. Barbra,

mid-march is basically the beginning of planting annuals and veggies, But I don't think I have the space under lights, or for that matter, in my home ;)....

Hate to have to buy starts!

Hey, Kylie,no veggies, but coming up in the yard are brugs and cannas. I just finished 6 beds of cannas and read on the forum about virus from where I bought a shitload of them two weeks ago. Anyone know what virus does to a canna?

Kylie, Keep us updated on your sister. We care.

I have been away from the computer a couple days helping my son plaster & paint & get his apartment ready to move into. We got home last night & found out the furnace quit because we were out of oil. It was 6 degrees with the wind chill outside & 40 inside. DH went for kerosene & the plants are fine. I haven't started any seeds yet. Probably in another week or so.

Someone mail me a box of nice warm sunshine. A big one, please.

On Feb. 25 I had hand surgery. I had one finger fused and joint replacements in two other fingers, all on the rt. hand. I'll be in healing stage for months. I'm typing one-handed. Prayers are welcomed and appreciated. It seems all are busy on various projects.

Sharon, thoughts and prayers are with you for a fast recovery!

And, not bad typing one hand. I'm sure it's slower, but you're doing great!
