Msrian, I had purchased some high end cannas from her. She also sells on eBay.
But it had been tough to get emails answered when it comes to brugs. Anyone with this experience?

Karchesky has always carried some of her brugs. It's just such a PITA to get them to respond to email inqueries, at least I've had problems in the past.

You have to get them to respond to your email requests...she is around ABADS quit a bit.. if you happen to speak German you can chat with her...LOL

Sorry folks if I laugh at this post. Alice has carried a lot of Monika's brugs for a while now and I believe she started them from seeds of which you can obtain seeds from that ABADS as they had some on Ebay for a fundraiser which some of us questioned what they were doing. It seems it was announced at their forums and not to the membership, why? One should also read some of the newsletters that ABADS has printed to know the history??

Dang, I need a translater myself. I can't see the words in the message block to proof read as I type. Once I post they get bigger. Gotta go take this thing to the guy that made it and make all the fonts show bigger. This is embarrassing.

I emailed them back in Sept. about the one named Edna... so far, no response. I just gave up.

The seed bank at ABADS is going thru some changes...
Karma I don't get what you are saying either LOL.. I have ordered seed from ABADS and the last time I was there there were none of Monika's mostly Gary Morales.. who BTW has some wonderful crosses...I am growing some of his out now..

I emailed them about a year ago wanting to purchase 3 or 4 of their plants. I wasn't even asking prices, just availability and never recieved a reply. I think I tried to reach them 2 or 3 times regarding that particular request. Fine, if they don't want my business there's plenty of others that do. YKWIM?

Hey Edna, I saw the Edna brug on ebay the other night. If it wouldn't have went for so much I would have bought it for you. I did think about it but it was up there pretty good and it still had a while to go before it was over.

Well, I don't know who you are Karyn, but I see your email is AOL. Not sure what their settings are, but you guys with that server must be missing a lot of important emails going out and coming in. If I do get one from an AOL address at our business mail, I can't even reply without it coming back. I have to copy to my personal mail and leave out all business mentions just to get the mail to go through to reply to that party. Pretty tough when are very busy and trying to accommodate that particular person .. and have to talk in code!

I am here at Garden Web and MANY other places and EASY to find and many know me.. My business mail is not the only place to reach me.

I was not selling the Ebay 'Edna' brug (which is my seedling from Monika's seeds) the other night. I will be listing a number of brugmansias there very shortly though as the weather is getting to where I can ship regularly again.

I am zone 5-6 is the main reason I don't ship brugs all year. Some don't take into consideration that I can't ship when frigid here. By late fall, I am usually wiped out though and don't start sending regularly until April when we have good supply again. But except brugmansias not released yet, most can be preordered and shipped as ready .. if we don't have them ready at that moment.

Whatever the criticisms, I promise to keep putting out great brugmansias .. our's and Monika's both. It's alot of work to get them from seedlings or small to readily available. But there are many more great ones to come and I have been honored to have so many beauties. And I am happy when they are to where they can start going out and others can enjoy them, too.

Ouch!I'm sorry I stirred up this mess. Hi Alice, I was the one that mentioned you had the beautiful brug seedlings of Monica Gottschalk. I started this thread. Several of us had been trying to find a source for some of her babies. I was drooling all over the place when I stopped by to look at some of your cannas. I love cannas and anything that looks tropical. Then I looked and you had brugmansia too, I just had to take a look. Those are some beautiful brugs you have there and the cannas are out of this world too.

I saw my first brugmansia or angel trumpet October 6, 2007 I'll never forget it. With the wonderful folks here on this forum I have been able to obtain a few, learn about the brugs for sale on ebay. I have purchased more than a handful from several different vendors along with some brug seeds.

Please let me tell you a little about myself and this site. I am an older lady, most of these folks on here are my childrens age or younger. I know very little about the computer and my memory isn't very good anymore. Yet these wonderful people on this forum are like family and I wouldn't trade any of them for a million brugs are all of Monika's Brugs. Please take a few minutes to get to know everyone here. We all share the same passion as you. We LOVE BRUGS, we love flowers, plants, and just talking to one another about what works best for us with all our plants.

We are like one big HAPPY FAMILY and I myself would dearly love for you to become part of our BRUG family here on this forum. I hope that you don't think I'm being rude, that is not my intention at all. Since you have explained the situation about the brugs I'm sure everyone will be much more understanding. Besides, we will be some of the people buying your babies and what better than to have you here once in awhile to let us know what's going on with you and your latest brugmansias.

I look forward to seeing you post here and helping us newbies learn more about brugs.

It must be a glitch with your address because I don't have problems with any other companies or individuals. It's good to know that there's other ways to contact you regarding your plants.

Marian, I couldn't have said it better myself. I think most of us here feel the same way, I know I do. I've only been here since late Oct, maybe early Nov, but you are all definately like family to me. I feel like I have been here forever. (((((hugs)))))
Also, I really don't think you had to apologize for anything. You didn't do anything. Email just gets screwy sometimes. I have had my share of emails that people haven't gotten, or havent received from me, and I have a couple different addies, not just one. Stuff happens.

I have emailed Alice both her persoal and company email with responses gotten. Matter of fact I had just last week requested the availability of the brugs (cannas to) and she told me they would be coming out in Apr. She has my list but I will touch base with her again once they do come out. I have receved canna and brugs from her in the past with no problem and am looking forward to getting more (I have also used her on ebay. I have to say she usually responds at night, but I just figure that is the only time she has with the business and all.

Hey - ordered some plants from Trigger's BIN - and heat packs. . .HEAT PACKS. . YEA!

He's the only one that can fill my jones right now because he ships with heat packs. (grin) Boy I've been waiting/watching for him to put more stuff up on ebay.
