They may be dead and dying, but don't be too quick to throw them away. They may still produce pups. You are really fortunate that Bob from this forum also lives in the Buffalo area, and he may be able to give you some real hands on help. I imagine he will be long and see this sooner or later.

If there is still green growth, and the leaves are attached, and the plant stabilizes after the shock of the cold, it will regrow, but slower the less the leaves remaining. If it is still in decline, then it is possible they may not come back. Some plants can get beyond the point of no return no matter what you do, and then it's time to shop for new plants ;-)

Yep,what is said above is likely how it will turn out. Some species are more cold tolorant than others,so they may survive.
