Solana Succulents, went there last year, small place but lots of cool stuff. Found a few treasures tucked away in the corners.

Not a nursery, although they do have occaisional plant sales is Quail Botanical Gardens in Encinitas...Well worth a visit..Great walk through various gardens. I did buy a few succulents there. It is a good place to see how plants look when matured too.

The Plant Man in Old Town San Diego has tons of unusual stuff. Also check out the websites for the sponsors of the San Diego Horticultural Society - most have uncommon plants.

Don't miss Buena Creek in San Marcos. The owners, Steve and Donna, are terrific, and both the butterfly and the mediterranean demo gardens are carpets of color and texture. Don't miss the original drought tolerant garden on the hill, full of protea and unusual specimans.
