ID and question about grafted cactus

I just started taking care of the greenhouse at my school about a month ago. The spring before last they lost their shadecloths and didn't get them replaced until the beginning of this summer. On top of that, the roof is being redone so the coolers had to be turned off; the greenhouse reaches 120-130 degrees on a cool day. That being said, this plant isn't in good condition. Hopefully someone will recognize it though.

I got this grafted cactus from Lowe's today for free. I've read that it's hard to keep them alive because the scion doesn't produce chlorophyll and has to steal energy from the rootstock... Are there any secrets to keeping them alive very long?
