Angel Pics from Magnetic Island Australia

Just thought you all might like to see Brug pics from Australia.I've just started collecting over the past 4 months and because the weather is ideal for growing Brugs here, they thrive and are huge plants in no time.

Magnetic Island is a part of the Great Barrier Reef of North Queensland near Cairns.......

Here is a link that might be useful: My Angel Page

Your brugs look nice, and I hope your seedlings give you some new and different things. Are those birds in your yard?

Maya... Wow! Beautiful Brugs, lorikeets, dog and setting! The Brilliant Orange rocks. Some of the photos look like you're in a rain-forest. Good stuff... good stuff.

I took a quick look at the rest of your site... if I ever make it to Magnetic Island (which I never heard of till now), I know where I'm staying! Love the pool area. This is my kind of place!

    Maya,
Love all of the pics. Your brugs are doing great, they look so lush. The sunset is beautiful. The birds are just gorgeous with those striking colors. How on earth were you able to get such a great pic without them all flying away?
And you little furry friend is simply too cute. Thank you for sharing with us.

Thanks all for your very kind words,I really appreciate them.
The birds in my converted Austar dish are rainbow lorikeets....they come in the mornings ,(as regular as a senior citizens bowel routine, screech as loud as a woman in labour delivering twins, natuarally and are as pushy as a used car salesman) Seriously though, they are a sight to behold, the colours are just magnificent ,I think I have a closeup of one somewhere on my messy unorganised cdrive, must look.
Bob the guest house is always open for visitors, always have heaps come and stay, I noticed you live in this sort of climate as well.
I must change the backgound on my Angel page as DH says it looks like I'm advertising for a funeral home.....

Your garden is just beautiful and I also love the lorikeets. There's a butterfly/botanical garden in FL and they have an aviary full of lorikeets that you can go in with a cup of nectar. The birds swarm all over you. Freaky but so beautiful. Australia and New Zealand are two places that I'd love to visit.

Great pics. I've been there more times then I can count. First when I was a little kid and now I take my kids. It's been so built up around there. I'm surprised that the park didn't sell out during the building craze. Actually I was talking about the lorakeet exhibit at Butterfly World. I love that place and when we drive I always come home with lots of cool plants. Can't bring much of anything on a plane anymore. Have you been to Butterfly World?
    Karyn

Never been. I have been to Tradeinda Park, where its located. They use to put on an amazing, drive thru Xmas light display, and I've done a few television shoots there. I need to go check it out with Laura.

    Absolutely stunning photos Bob......

Bob you should check it out. The plants in the conservatories are just gorgeous and the butterflies and hummingbirds flying around are really something. The outside gardens are beautiful as well and you can get some cool plants. It's really close to you. I'm surprised that you've never been. I'll be going again. I never get tired of it. I have no idea if we'll be flying or driving. Even with cheap fares it's expensive to fly 5 people anywhere but with the price of gas........
    Karyn

Karyn... I hear you on the flying v gas thing. Laura actually went to Butterfly World, some years ago. I will make it a
point to get there soon. And that's Tradewinds Park ... pretty bad Typo!

You have a beautiful family Bob. I would like to go to some of those places. I watch a show filmed in Florida called Eye on Gardening and have seen some of those places on there. I would love to go there someday too. Mya you better watch out with this bunch letting us know you have a guest house, lol. I am going to win the lottery one day and I might come see you, lol.

Just beautiful Maya and the birds are gorgeus!!!
    Thank you for sharing!
