Wow, great plants Dax. Did you have your scion-knife?? lol...

I have 'C. Blue', or so I think, listed as 'Sea Blue', a very very bright blue.

Very mature plants for the most part, always a pleasure.

I normally don't like bald-cypress but 'Cody's Feathers' Taxodium distichum looks wild.

I live in the south. In NC, USA. My favorite winter activity is bundling up with warm clothes and a blanket and coffee while I sit on the porch in the am. Sometimes if the wind isn't too chill, on the deck at night to look at the winter stars and the moon. LOL, it gets sooo cold I can't see the stars if I breathe because of the breath fog in the cold air. So I hold my breath: the stars are literally breathtaking!

I was also thinking you could just add casters to a piece of furniture. But since you asked, houzz answered you today...voila!! . (It comes in black, as well.). But wouldn't you have dragging cords and cables to deal with if you moved it off the wall? I think a stand that gves you some storage makes the most sense. I liked carolins pier1 pick. By any chance, would your white stand work if you painted it and spray frosted the glass? There are a ton of curtain options on the webz. These are from jcpenney. I do like the rectangular one, but it won't fit. Sorry. Unless you turn it round and put it with its short side against the window, which leaves you max. 2 foot between kitchen and table (it's a squeeze). But then your light won't be centred above it so you'd need to rehang that. I think your best bet is round. Next best: oval, because you can put the chairs at an angle. Where to start? First we installed a partial fence on one side with an arbor. Then, on the same side, added an exterior French door to the living room and an extra window to a spare bedroom. Then had the area landscaped. Pics below. Ran out of time (and money!!) to tackle the paver patio with a pergola off the dining room which will require changing out the double window for French doors. I hope to be able to do that in 2017, along with creating a pathway from lower yard between trees that form a sort of avenue to the upper field. Smaller projects in the meantime include currently getting quotes for a kitchen backsplash and under cabinet lighting. DIY projects: Would like to change out the pedestal sink in the powder room for a vanity and add cabinets to my laundry room. Extensive trim work and wainscoting in most rooms. Would like to put reclaimed barn beams on the living room ceiling. Lastly, if I still have any money left, would be to convert the deck to a screened porch with a fireplace, put in a small plunge pool and put a veggie garden and a shed/workshop in the upper field. I wouldn't say anything so far has gone terribly wrong. I will say that contractors don't really expect you to pay extra to do a real cleanup, do they??? Shouldn't that be part of the deal?? I mean should a homeowner expect to pay another contractor to fix the dings in her hardwood floors left by the previous contractor even though the homeowner took the time to put down heavy duty drop cloths?? The Picea pungens 'C. Blue' is short for 'Coors B;ue'. It was found by Jerry Morris at the Coors Brewing Company near Denver Colorado.
I have been in Randy's garden many a time but I see a few plant that I missed.
Randy is the founder of many great plants that have made there way around the world.
Plants like--
Picea orientalis 'Spring Grove'
Pinus koriaensis 'Spring Grove'
Abies concolor 'St. Johns' to name a few.

Well, its time to search a chair for Randy in the Breeder's Hall.
Thanks for the new Jerry plant photos. A remark: the RM series of pungens are 201-260. Lower numbers are just # 93 and # 121 numbered.

Flap Jack reminds me to Viola with the impossible purple-blue color. Beautiful.

You remember this post to me,and I see 1 Abies sometimes showing in Breeders hall and I see the same plant to Franz in Austria but I read the name for the first time :Abies concolor "Lower Road"

It's Abies lasiocarpa 'Lower Road'.
The only thing you've to do is to look at it's needles at the third pic which are typical for Abies lasiocarpa...

Clement, I just discovered that the true name for Abies concolor #6 is 'Wyoming South' and not 'Lower road'

Please check the Jerry Morris Life Monument and look at Abies concolor 'Wyoming South' #6.
Click at the link and you'll see a simular pic as the 'Lower Road' which it isn't.
However, as you stated, it's an Abies lasiocarpa and not an Abies concolor.
So you see, also Jerry can make mistakes...

Now my question is, what is Abies lasiocarpa 'Lower Road' then?
Is this the same one as 'Wyoming South' or a totaly differend cultivar...
