Lilly, you said you like the green rug and blue chair. Keep what You like! The sling chair looks good in there also, infront of the window. Bring the blue into it with a pillow on the chair. Your original colorful picture would punch it up, if you would rather go there than the softer one with the green frams. Do what feels best for you. You cAn always change out the artwork seasonally once you have yourbasic furniture in place. Have fun.

Did / Do you bathe your kids or pets in the kitchen sink?

I laughed at all your posts. Who knew having clean pets and kids would be so controversial. My pets and kids are all over the house. I have never bathed either one in the kitchen sink but have washed sons hair in the kitchen and occasionally my own. Dogs are bathed in the tub or in warm weather outside with the hose. I would like to weigh in on the germ issue. I have to renew my health and safety certificate every year for my work. We were told that the germs were not getting stronger, we are getting weaker with too much sanitizing. No need for anti anything. Soap and water does the trick. Living with animals makes a child's immune system stronger and they have less allergies than children who have lived a germ free life. Relax, enjoy, clean your sinks daily and all will be well.

What’s your method for hand washing dishes?

I have a really big farm sink so I can stack the dishes on the right side and fill a plastic dish pan with soapy water on the left. Then I rinse and drop in the silverware, then rinsed dishes and small items. Then I rinse and wash the glasses, then the dishes which have been soaking followed by the silverware. Clean glasses and dishes go in a dish drainer on the counter along with the silverware. If I have too much silverware I put them wet onto a dish towel on the left side of the counter. If I have pots and pans I put them in the used dish water to soak for a few minutes. While that's going on I take a dish towel and dry everything else and put it away. Then I wash and dry the pots and pans and put them away, rinse the sink and voila everything is done! I do exactly the same thing every time and it makes washing dishes stress free and even enjoyable.

Conifer yellowing needles

Hi my sister has had this beautiful pine tree (A Bristol Cone Pine?.... ) for about 10 years. We just noticed yellowing needles. When I touch them they, not surprisingly, fall off. After closer examination I see this white goop on some needles and cones. It isn't all over the tree but I do believe it is a problem that needs to be addressed ASAP. I have attached a few photos. Any advice is very much appreciated. Thank you!
