Broom Universe 95 - Czech Masters 37 - Jan Beran

mesterhazypinetum
December 21, 2011

Jan Beran belongs to the experienced generation of the czech breeders. He is a father (with. M. Halada) of the classical 28 San Sebastian brooms, discovered 1980-85. Most of them are well known in the States, as Larry Stanley listed them. Since 2001 around the San Sebastian Mount many others collected further 1200 pine brooms, which are Pinus pseudopumilio x and Pinus rotundata selections. He also found several other nice new brooms too.
