Cuttings are very difficult to do, so I would suggest 'layering' the vine. This is done by burying a portion of a 'live' vine by placing a piece of the vine in a pot of soil. I dig a hole for the pot, next to the mother and put soil in to about the halfway mark. I bury a portion of living vine by 3-4" in the pot, cover and pat it well with more soil and water it well. You must make sure to bury a section that has leaves. In about 4-6 months, you can cut the main plant away and you will have a new plant. It helps to lift the pot out of the hole to see if you see roots coming out of the bottom of the pot. This is when it's wise to cut the mother vine away.
