I love miniature stuff and I love plants...combine the 2 and I'm in heaven :-) Great pics!

The problem I have is my small plants get BIG so I whack them and then have lots of little ones that I don't know what to do with and it never ends!

Great plants.
I never throw a leaf or cutting out. I have so many "starts" everywhere. I would not have room for all the pots. Every plant has some sort of leaf sprouting roots. Thanks for sharing.

I love small plants of all sorts. That's what got me into this...I don't even know what to call it...a zillion little plants that grew to be big plants so that I had to buy some more little plants...oh, a vicious circle! I'm now digging leaves out of the trash just in case they may sprout. That might be an obsession.

I like to plant in big dish gardens, but when I find a odd pot I like to plant a single small plant.

Those little guys must not have holes in the bottom of the container. So, how do you water them without killing them?

I don't know what the others do but I am not a heavy water person and have no problem growing a plant in a container without drainage. I don't encourage this for people that love to water. I know how much water to put in the container without killing the plant.

If you really want to rinse the soil water as much as you want lay the pot on its side and it will drain out the side.

I figure growing in the ground dose not have a hole in the bottom I do not need a hole in the bottom of my pot. LOL

Here is one that i did. Its a small little cut about 1" across, drilled out so it will drain.

Aside from the color, I like how these leaves look like felt or suede.

Karen: Absolutely beautiful, the Kalanchoe in particular! I love the color and the looks of the texture. Very nice. To see flowers on your Crown of Thorns at that size is so unique. Cute

Tom: I though we would get a break from such horrible winter last year and our lack of HOT this pst summer would lead into a warmer than usual winter. Not so I guess.

I love your plants! Absolutely beautiful. Do you think you could help me pick one of those out at the next Cactus show and mentor me with an O.herrei or a E.francoisii..? Lol. I had to scroll up and down several times just to spell the plants name, let alone care for them. I think I saw some of these at the show but was afraid to try growing them.

I don't believe E. francoisii takes any special care. At least I've never known it to (tho' mine looks much different than Tom's).

the diversity and creativity is brilliant, everyone is so talented here. As you know I'm a newbie to succulents, I like to have a little of everything. Here are my new babies I purchase last month with the exception of the two front right. Next to the aloe I've love to have an ID, I've been successful with many cutting from it, but don't know its name. (?)

I'm glad I took a pic of them when I just got them to see if I'm helping or hurting them.

Everything has done well except the Echeveria 'Perle von Nurnberg' the pinkish grey rossette, (third row middle) her lower leaves are limp and dying off. Actually, from this pic it looks like it had begun to some degree. Most plants are sorely neglected at stores. Many of them were pretty close to the window (right on the sill) I have since moved them back. I'm not sure if it's dryness, over watering or cold but I'm taking off lower leaves today. Description says hard to 36 degrees. This happened when I was away for 3 days but I watered before I left. Any suggestions by you experts is welcomed, of course.

I have also lost some leaves on the Echeveria 'Ramillette',(front left, green rosette type) but before you say over watering I've watered everything the same and all else has done well. Unless, due to their fleshy leaves they need less. They must be a more toucy plant. (???)

Thanks Josh and Mike! I too LOVE frog stuff! With my first pregnancy I was hoping for a boy because I saved all my frog stuffed animals from growing up. When I found it was a girl I ended up doing princess and the frog theme in her room just so I could incorporate the frog stuff. I even had a pet pac man frog at one point named Burp and my first car was a green Geo Metro that was aptly named 'The Frog Mobile' or 'The Mean Green Bean Machine' LOL

As far as the drip tray, I'm not sure if I will plant it or not. I would need something with extremely shallow roots. I would have to use more of my sepervivum tectorum I'm thinking. Not sure if I will plant it or not.

Would I qualify I am a small pakage, I don't eat very much, 4ft.19, and 88 lbs. that is why my husband married me. LOL that is the also the reason I like crassula, they didn't take up much room.

Erin, they are cute little plants. It seems like it has taken forever for it to finally bloom. It has had the flower stem/spike (not sure what it is called) for a couple months, the single flower opened a few days ago. One bloom open, 5 to go, definitely a lesson in patience with this one.

CC, Erin, That Brillo Frog was probably one of the best sellers for Duncan. It is glazed in 'Spring Bouquet'. I still have that mold in the garage. The ceramic fad dropped out in the late '70ies. I bought a defunct ceramic business in 87. If I could not plant in it the mold went. I love to combine my hobbies. Still do. Good pots are hard to find and I think the market has junk. Good to see an oldie but goodies come out. Great photos everyone. Paula
