    OMG !!! That's incredible!!! Brrrrrr.....

We'll be looking for pictures of a snowman soon!!! :)

Stay warm--we used to live in Michigan until 1981. Have been down south ever since--for a joke, every year we hang up my small ice scaper on the Christmas tree to remember all that snow, ice, and freezing temperatures we left behind!!! Just checked---our temp. is 70 degrees!!

Fire up that fireplace my friend!!!!

Aaah Barb, please send some to the North West of you. he he. I want to go snowmobiling and can't until we get more snow. 14"...we could split that don't ya think?

On a serious note...You may very well be snowed in tomorrow. Be very careful if you have to go out to work tomorrow morning. If not, head on into your greenhouse and spend the day planting seeds. :)

    Goodmorning everone!

Yes we are home! The problem is we also had ice with the snow. They are calling for drifts with the winds. I did want to get stuck at work all day and night. So far about 8 inches it is falling right now at a inch a hour. Theresa we are northeat WI Zone4-5. MJ LOL The fireplace has been nonstop since October. I love it. We went down to ma in laws and couldnt wait to get home to the warm heat. TJ Brr we have a brand new snowmobile sitting in the garage never used. He bought it before he met me. I am afraid of them...Knotz you wont come visit me in the snow. LOL Miss Lucy it is 21.7 outside and 68 in the gh. Nice and toasty warm. Probably too warm I should go and turn it down...here are a couple of pics. I call this extreme greenhousing...Fiance is making path to woodpile and the gh. What a keeper....Barb

Barb...It looks pretty--but I'm not the one shoveling the snow! Oh my aching back---it all comes back very quickly!!!

I can only imagine how much it cost to run heaters for a greenhouse up there!!! Do they run 24/7? Do you ever have to wory about accumulating snow/ice on the roof of your greenhouse? Or does it just continously melt because the inside of the GH is so warm? Sorry for so many questions!

    Stay warm...MJ

MJ I really like that picture. May I copy it....
The gh heater runs 24/7 just about. The heat from it melts the snow on top. Thank goodness....We are at a foot now. I am glad I didnt go in I would have been stuck there. It is 70 miles from here one way. We have no tax base here so they dont plow. No problems on questions ask away.....The plants seem happy when I was out there. I think I will take a shovel full and dumped on the floor. I wonder if that would bring up the humidity in there? Does anybody know?

Yep, looks pretty much the same here and from where I'm sitting in my chair I can see even the bare tree/shrub limbs waving in the breeze so think I'll just stay in here nursing my bronchitis and sipping hot water (jeepers, when did I get to be such an old geezer). Oh well, the end of the driveway will still be plugged and waiting when the wind dies down and would just have to be done again if I ventured out right now.
Lie low and stay safe everyone,
    Will

    Rosepedal,
LOL,the brugs were not "in" the street, they were in my front yard, and along side my house. I have been growing brugs for about 10 years, and just started planting them in front about 3 years ago.I have not seen any other brugs in the area in all that time.People are always stopping and asking what they are,and saying how pretty they are.In my front yard I had Super Nova,Double peach, and Miss Emily McKinsey. In the back,I have Inca Sun,Desiree,L'Amore, and 4 "noid" seedlings of Painted Lady X Creamsickle that should bloom this comming summer. They set some nice big buds this fall, but we got a real early frost, and I had to bring them into the basement in early Oct.Oh yea,I also had a Peaches & Cream in the front, along with cannas,Elephant Ears, and a banana.

    Hi Carol,
I knew it was you. I had to go and look it up. How are you? So glad to hear from you. They are all doing wonderful. Duke had some bugs but I sprayed him. I am glad you popped in. Sounds like the weather there is cold. We are having a warm up this weekend and than back to the cold. Nice to see you and Happy Holidays to you....Dan your yard sounds wonderful. I bet you had a lot of people stop just to admire it. I love cannas too. I received some from some very nice GW Members this year. I cant wait for them to grow. LOL We had strong winds come thru one day and it blew my banna tree so hard it snapped its trunk. I dint know you could replant it and threw it away. Darn it...Your angels sound beutiful.....Barb

All I can say is, you all are troopers! If I lived in that environment, I would hibernate all winter. Beautiful Christmas tree Barb.

It is going to be a nice day today and than back to cold again. I'm glad the plumerias are growing for you, I have one blooming in the living room window. We had company last night and they couldn't believe I have been growing plumies in South Dakota. They all took a bloom home, the smell is wonderful. They all ask for a cuting.
    Carol
