Your yard makes me think of summer you have so much in bloom.

My favorite is the circle of azaleas around the tree, just beautiful and very natural looking (my favorite).

I hope the storms don't do any serious damage....we are have another freeze warning.........fruit trees are still my biggest worry.

Oh boy, your azaleas are making me drool, plants are slowly awakening, things I thought would surely be dead have survived where things I thought would be OK have croaked, still no sign of life on my wisteria. I'm going to go out and scratch the main trunk today and see if the cambium layer is still green, fingers crossed.
March went out like a lion here, it was so windy it almost blew you off your feet. I went to get a haircut, the power went out.... it's a good thing I have a hairdresser who could cut hair blindfolded.

We had storms again on Thursday 2/2 with Tornado warnings, Severe storm warnings, Flash flood warnings and road closings. If you thought the last flood was bad, you should have seen this one. I went out to make pics of where the water was overflowing the culverts and flowing across the highway. The puppy, Buffie, jumped into the pond that had formed and that was the end of making pictures. She got out safely, had to have the debris washed off her. Fortunately she wasn't far enough down to be swept into the culvert.

In the past 24 hours we had 5 inches of rain. This morning the sun is shining. Everything is very wet with much debris in the flower beds, but I think most everything will survive. The azaleas look like soggy socks. It's the end of blooms for them except for the little native azalea Alabamense, just starting to bloom and on higher ground. Sweet William bravely carries on the show and roses have buds, thankful for rain.

We've been dry so long we're not sorry for so much rain to fall.
