This is a fire escape slide. It is commercially available but very expensive. You give the manufacture the space you are thinking on putting it in and the floor to ceiling finished height and they can give you the cost. (I'd expect 10 to 15K) Other sources would be urban aritectual antique operations as these where used in public school which are being replaced due to changing fire codes. Fire poles are easier. I've always thought of running one from a hall upstairs to a closet down stairs. How many people can come out of the closet at any one time?
