Your Wish List for Santa!

If you been a good gardener this year, write a nice little note for Santa for your five most wanted seeds?

Post here, and Santa's helpers may just send you an email asking for your address so that the elves can send it along your way.

My five most wanted seeds -- oooh, that's a tough one. That list would change almost every day.
For me, those would have to be:
Echinacea "Art's Pride" (for my mother's garden)
    Scabiosa "Ebony and Ivory"
    Coreopsis "Sweet Dreams"
Bleeding Heart (purple, yellow or white)
Delphinium (one of the Camelot series)
[honorable mention to Malva "Mystic Merlin" for the Camelot themed garden]

It's actually quite difficult to choose a top-five wanted seeds list . . . lol.

    My 5 most wanted seeds
    Moonflower
    Lenten Rose (Helleborus orientalis)
Canna Stuttgart or any other coloured leaves except green.
    Double impatiens
    snow pansies
Sharon you need to put your 5 most wanted also.
    Even elves have wants.

    Dear Santa,

I've been a good garden girl all year, Ok I know you saw me steal plants from my moms garden, but I was only giving them a better home. All the seedlings that I lost was not my fault at all, it was the defective seed tray you brought me last year I swear. My back garden may look neglected, but again, how could I ever tell those sweet chickens not to eat all my plants after all they do eat all the grubs. I know I broke the garden spade you gave me in half, but hey I do live on "the rock" of Canada, try bringing be a cast Iron one next time. Anyway Santa, since I have not asked for much this year could you please send me these 5 packages of seeds that I have been looking for quite a while, I know I always ask for very difficult gifts and I know the elves are busy so If for some reason you cant find them I have listed 5 more.

    Variegated Hardy Kiwi (Actinidia kolomikta)
    Mulberries Morus alba
Nine star perennial broccoli (Brassica oleracea botrytis aparagoides)
    Hardy Orange (Poncirus Flying Dragon)
    American Persimmon (Diospyros virginiana)

    Bush Clover Fountain(Lespedeza Thunbergii)
    Sedum erythrostictum 'Frosty Morn'
    Sedum spectabile 'Stardust'
    Verbascum Carribean Crush
    Hisbiscus -blue satin

    Thank you santa,

    Judie NL

    Dear Santa;

My computer system has been very bad this year, so my request isn't typical. Here is my wish list:

    1. I would like my email correspondence files back (we just experienced a system crash and lost all email correspondence - right in the middle of trading clematis seeds).

And since that wish isn't going to happen (the computer whiz tried but the outlook express email file wasn't retrievable), here's my real wish:

    2. I would love to have all those who had written to me earlier requesting my clematis - abundance; and those waiting for my clematis - sweet autumn to ripen so I could send both, to email me again so I can start all over again with getting these seeds out to you all. I want to make sure these ripe seeds go to the people I initially promised them to.

PS - Sorry to have hijacked this thread momentarily, but figured so many people would be dropping in to read this thread that I might have a hope at connecting with those of you who still were waiting to hear back from me, and since I can't access the previously lost email files, this is my only hope.

    Cheers, Sydseeds

Well, I just received the Vesey's catalogue and then my wish list expanded tremendously. Here's my wish list in order of priority. I know it's more than five but I just couldn't limit myself.

    1. Verbena St. George or Escapade Bright Eye
    2. Rudbekia Chocolate Orange
    3. Pelargonium/geranium: Orange Appeal or Black Velvet Scarlet
    4. Portulaca: Margarita Rosita
    5. Gomphrena Tall mix
    6. Coleus: Black Dragon on Kong Mosaic, or Fairway Salmon Rose
    7. Sunflower: Double Dandy, Valentine, Peach Passion
    8. Pansy: Chalon Blueberry Cream Mix, Penny Orchid Mix

I ended up deleting some as I didn't want to seem too piggish.

I have a list several pages long but decided on a simple Christmas wish list:

    Snap dragons
    Celosia
    Sweet peas
    Chinese foxgloves
    Alyssum  basket of gold

Now I don't wish to seem too elementary at this BUT... how does this work? If I have something that is on someone's wish list do I contact them for their address and send it to them? Or, do I e-mail crazy-gardener to tell her I have it?

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!

    Thanks,
    Lisa

    Dear Santa,
My garden centre expansion is going much too slowly for my liking! I'd like one of your elves to come and finish the job so that it can be ready for planting in February. Oh, and just one loan payment made on my behalf is all I want.

Dear Santa .. I have tried to be a good gardener all year long. But I think sometimes I fall short on taking care of my babies over the winter months :o( I do try to share with as many people as I can. This year, I have a few things that I hope you might be able to bring me .. last year was a bit of a bust with nothing showing up in my mail box :o( So I will keep it fairly simple

I would like to have in my garden
Datura - Golden Queen & Purple Queen
    Red Castor bean
    Moonflower vine
Sunflowers that dont get too big

Thanks Santa .. and even if you arnt able to find these babies for me I will still leave you some milk and cookies when you stop by with all of the gifts for the kids :o)

oh thank you, thank you Santa! Received such a nice selection of ornamental grasses today! I can't wait to try them. They will be making their home around my new pond landscape. Merry Christmas and Best wishes to all for the 2007 garden year.

    Hi Santa,

I know my poor garden got a bit weedy this year, but we were renovating & look how nice the house looks with the new windows & siding!! Next year, it will be like a gem surrounded by it's setting - the flower beds. So, if you send me these five things, I can fill in the spot where the nasty electrician went straight through the garden to put in the new Hydro line. Hugs to you Santa!!

    Bush Clover Fountain(Lespedeza Thunbergii)
Hakonechloa Macra - Aurea (Japanese grass)
Phlox - summer (Any & all)
    Lobelia Tupa (red, perennial)
    Muhlenbergia capillaries (an ornamental grass)
