Araucaria heterophylla or Norfolk Island Pine or Australian Pine is a southern hemisphere conifer (not a real pine) native to the Norfolk Islands and Australia. Norfolk Island Pine is one of the few conifers able to adapt to inside the home and is able to tolerate relatively low light levels. In its native habitat, this tree may reach 200 feet in height with 15 pound cones. The tree will grow outside in the United States but only in the semi-tropics.

More likely Araucaria columnaris (Coral Reef Araucaria) from New Caledonia - this is very commonly sold mislabelled as A. heterophylla. Equally non-hardy, unless you are in a near-tropical climate.

even if you did.. it will keep getting wider ... one way or another.. its going to outgrow most homes ...

frankly ... you succeeded of growing it beyond expectation.. get rid of it.. lol .. fear your own success .. lol ... start over ...

double frankly.. its a tree.. it supposed to be in mother earth.. not a house plant ... and that really is the root of the problem ... its simply not really a houseplant ...

i doubt its rootable .. but if so.. root a piece.. and throw the big momma away ...
