Eyes that See

{{gwi:768451}}

Lil' Red Wagon, just bloomin' up a storm

{{gwi:768452}}

Siloam Gumdrop, I'm pretty sure. I got this as Blueberry Candy or Raspberry candy, can't remember which now. Much too small to be those, but I remember they had a couple of Siloams & gumdrop was one

{{gwi:768453}}

Mee Ying is doing wonderfully this year, was just so-so last year

{{gwi:768454}}

Raptor Rap is doing really well too

{{gwi:768455}}

A lovely gift, unknown I think, or I lost the name, but lovely, nice & big. More white than it appears here

{{gwi:768456}}

New seedling

{{gwi:768457}}

another seedling, 2nd year for bloom

{{gwi:768458}}

My yellow seedling again, this flower isn't quite as big as others

{{gwi:768459}}

Another seedling

{{gwi:768461}}

Got this pink/yellow edged one as Azure Violets, obviously not, although quite pretty. It will be better when not thrip bitten. Any suggestions on what it could be?

{{gwi:768462}}

Balloon flower

{{gwi:768463}}

Lily

{{gwi:768464}}

Roady, I realized what that expression is on his face. I'm out checking out everything, at about this point I'm getting ready to walk in the grass. He want's me to carry him, doesn't really like getting his feet wet in the dew :)

    Smart kitty, who needs to get their feet wet? LOL! I like your ruffled edge yellow seedling the best of this bunch of blooms. Your lily is extra lovely also.

    Siloam Gumdrop, or whatever it is, looks like it is just covered with buds.

    I like the first 3 of your seedlings, but I think I like the 2nd one the best.

    Ooh la la! That siloam looks great and I'm drooling looking at all those buds. I need to get some siloams.

    The yellow seedling is really pretty

    I'm really liking my yellow seedling, definitely one of my keepers. Seems to have a pretty good bud count too, & have a red one that has a good bud count & I like its branching. Nothing really special, but enough that it will get a place of some honor. Most of my seedlings are going farther down the driveway where I can't water much.
    Siloam Gumdrop is absolutely covered with buds. I got several pots of plants at the end of the season one year, practically give aways. These had tags, but I'm sure they got switched. Shame 3 ended up being the same, but of course that happens. They have multiplied nicely so I have 3 nice clumps now.
    Thanks for your compliments!

    I really like your yellow seedling and the one right above- very pretty! What is the name of your freckled lily?

  • 13 years ago

    I really like the unknown pale yellow and your seedlings--especially the second and third ones.

    Thanks! The lily is Suncrest.

    ngraham, I love the edge on the first pale pink seedling and the halo on the next. The yellow is very beautiful even if it is smaller!! I've no idea about the noid..It's gonna be a nice one though!... Ellie

    Very pretty blooms I have a Azure Violets that I received this spring and it's blooms looked something like yours very light colored not the deeper color I expected, maybe it will improve with age. Roady is so cute and I would say a little spoiled but there's nothing wrong with that he deserves it.

    Oh, I'm in love. That Siloam Gumdrop is precious. Wow are all those buds Gumdrops? Mee Ying and Eyes That See are beautiful. Tinkers lists Gumdrop at 18", is it that in your garden? I need a lower bloomer for a bed edge.

    Thanks Ellie! That is the very first bloom on this one, I like the soft pink & the edge too. I'm anxious to see how it shapes up or changes much.
    Linda, I like this "Azure Violet", it opens nicely bright & early. Some, like Mee Ying, look ok later in the morning, but take a bit longer to wake up in the mornings.
    Elizabeth, S. Gumdrop does seem to be about 18" or so, one of the shorter ones in my garden. And those buds are indeed all Gumdrops. I guess the smaller daylilies make up in size by their numbers.

    I have balloon flowers scattered all through the garden, nice that they bloom off & on all season.
    Thanks Nancy! I hope Mee Ying keeps up as well as it has been doing this year. The reason I have it is because it wasn't doing well in its previous owner's garden :) I wasn't really impressed last year, but other than it takes til about 9 a.m. to wake up completely, it is doing really well.
    I appreciate your compliments Jean. My family tells me Roady is spoiled rotten :) He is a very affectionate cat, and very attached to me. If he doesn't see me, he cries til I answer him. Always wants to be with me.

    That's a truly phenomenal quantity of buds on SILOAM GUMDROP. But my favorite flower of the group is your yellow seedling (and I don't especially like yellow).

    I don't have any suggestions for the one you bought as Azure Violets. At first glance it reminded me of David Kirchhoff, but I looked at some pictures of mine and I don't believe it's a match.

    My favorite is your second seedling. And I love the angle on the picture of Roady!
