I went to the Kanapaha Gardens sale today (we go every year) and found some treasures!

This is what I carted home:

a really nice highly variegated specimen of Variegated Monstera for only $28 (much bigger than some of the plants I have seen sell on eBay for $50-75+)

a huge Nong Noch vine (Petraeovitex bambusetorum)...there are 4 large woody very well established vines in the container and they trail down almost 5 feet. The whole plant weighs about 8-10 pounds or more. It was $30, an absolute steal considering a tiny 4" starter pot from Logees runs $20

Philodendron "Royal Queen", a dark almost black variety that closely resembles the one Asiatica sells as Zulu Prince in color but the leaf form is different

Baptistonia echinata (mounted) (in bloom)

Dend bracteosum x Dend laevifolium

Jumelea comorense

Dend Jenkinsii (in spike)

2 Hedychiums from Tom Wood:

an over 3 ft plant with magnificent color for $10

It was a fun morning, we were among the first 50 or so people in the door at 9am. By the time we left at 11 am there were probably 3000+ people there and many more coming in.

I was sorry that Tropiflora ditched us this year (they probably went to Leu Gardens sale instead). They usually come and I usually get some nice stuff from them, but Kanapaha moved the date of their sale later by a week this year and it conflicted with a Mt Dora sale and the Leu sale
