has some (good service) and Country Club nursery in Seminole/Pinellas Park has a bit more too. then if your looking for something really different as well then
Crowley's nursery in Sarasota has a huge variety as well as tons of exotics and tropicals!! Good Luck, Terry.

Ha! We were at Jene's yesterday. The selection is great but so many of the plants are beat. I am also looking for nursery options.

Just got back from Lowes and scored with a Sambo lemon and a Key Lime for $20.00 each. Tax free too for some reason. Think I'll make a road trip to Crowley's next week end.

Hey "fn", if you haven't been to Crowley's before go early in the day if possible,(gets pretty hot) and bring your
checkbook or plastic and a truck!! Mapquest or e-mail me for directions, it's kinda off the beaten path. I have seen nice fruit trees at Lowes reciently, good deals!!

Hi. I happened to be at Jene's (I heard her name pronounced Juh-nay) on Friday and LOVED it. I planned to post photos (will when I get a chance to download). I bought 3 blueberry plants that were in wonderful shape with ripe berries on them.

I am not local so wasn't looking for big fruit trees but I have to say I thought they looked pretty good to me. Weird that other people didn't like it there. I was in heaven and wished I had more room in the van to buy more plants. I bought other small stuff like mimosa, dune sunflower. I wanted their dutchman's pipe just because it had gold-rim butterfly eggs on it but didn't buy it and am still wishing I had.

I thought the staff was friendly, I was asked by 2 different people if I needed help and they gave it when asked.

I went there especially because I had heard about it on this forum and was staying at a park nearby (Fort DeSoto-FABULOUS!)

I had also planned to stop at Kerby's later but after Jene's and the USF rose sale I had no more room or spare $.

Maybe you hit it on a bad hour or day. I really enjoyed my stop there. They really have a lot of different plants in a smallish city location. My experience was a good one. I'm sorry yours was less than good.

Hey naples, I like"Jah Nay's" too, they are very friendly with me, and I usually find something unusuall or really cool.( found some of our coolest ti-plants there!)
