anita, just got to speak up here. What a generous offer to open your home to other gardening lovers. Very nice! I wish like heck I could do the 4+ hour drive to make Kate's swap. But physically, that's just not possible. By chance would you be interested in making a drive to Fort Myers for my swap on Sept. 2nd? (it's on the exchange page) Love to meet you! Was talking to MsMarion today and we are just amazed at all the friends we have made on garden web and all the traveling we do to get to swaps. The generosity, information, support we get here is so astonishing!! Please know you are welcome to come join us!!

I would be interested in garden tours on Sunday as I have an obligation to be guest service runner at Give Kids the World from 5 - 9 Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Whatever can fit into those time periods would be enjoyed and appreciated. You are a most generous person to open your home, but then most gardeners are. I live in south west Orlando. Cindee: I will make an effort to come - will see if my favorite travelling buddies are up for a road trip. You all seem to have so much fun and I always like tropicals which I suspect you more Southern gardeners have more of! If you change your mind and feel up to the drive for the Orlando adventure please let me know!

I've been planning to go to Kate's swap ever since she first invited us all, but I've been out of the loop a bit, not having much chance to play online lately. I haven't read all of the posts about it, and am trying to catch up now. Just to clarify, we ARE still having the actual swap at Kate's house, right? And we will be there for the bulk of the afternoon, lunch, etc, like last time? With all these extra activities being planned, I just want to be sure I've got that part right.

Thanks for the clarification! (Kate, you know I can't wait to see your garden and your precious pups again! Please let me know what I can bring for lunch & snacks, etc.)

I've been out of the loop myself for a couple weeks and was surprised to come back and find all this! Yes, the swap is still on, with food, shuttle launch viewing, deely boppers, etc. I'll leave the Sunday portion of the program to Anita; any chance that will include a visit to Biosphere?

I had not thought of Biosphere but that could be an option. There are 4 private homes that I have seen that are really tremendous and I was going to start with those. I am not sure the owners will agree (well I am 99% of two and the other two have done it in the past but not sure they want to do it again). So if they drop out maybe Biosphere is an alterntive.
