My pole beans are just starting to climb (I have Cherokee Trail of Tears, Emerite, Purple Podded pole, Chinese Green Noodle, Rattlesnake, a yellow pole bean, and a shrimp bean). They are a few weeks behind. I missed planting peas in the spring. So I just planted peas over the weekend.

Your plants look so lush & healthy. You're getting the same rain as me. How do you do it?

I grew Cherokee Trail of Tears a couple years ago. They did stay pretty short through most of July, and then they took off like Rockets! I got a nice crop out of them.
I've been getting rain, but thankfully not too much. I'm lucky with the weather most of the time. Sometimes the patterns go haywire though, and I get bizarre/bad weather. I live in the lane between the two lake patterns. Often times you can be at my house and see the line of clouds to the north and south, and have it clear here. So unless a storm or cloud cover is massive, I miss the brunt of it. Of course when it is a really dry summer, I'm talking to the cloud begging them to move over this way!

Here is my Empress Bush Bean. I harvested all of my other beans, this

Here is my Black-eyed Peas. I received this as a little extra in a seed trade.
Started out very slow and leaves a little yellowish green. They have really
rebounded since the rain let up about a month. They must like humidity.

I just received Rattlesnake Pole bean and Pencil Pod Black Wax from
Heirloom seeds..To many seeds for me. If anyone has Chinese Red Noodle
bean, would you like to trade for any of my varieties?
