Have you been to this before? Do they really open at 6 am? Boy that would be such a timesaver for us crack-o-dawn folks. I hate to stay in bed late on the weekends! (it's just during the week I don't want to get out! LOL) That's only about 30 mins for me. Thanks for the tip.

Yes, they open at 6:00 A.M. both Sat & Sun. I have been several times and it's a lot of fun. They have different things each year, always a bunch of evergreens and almost always they have trees, both common and ornamental.

The past few years they have had perennials. Nothing very special but fun to pick through. They also have had a wide, but a little strange, selection of pots, bags of dirt, etc.

Sometimes I leave with nothing, sometimes I get a lot. Twenty two years ago I got everything to landscape our new house and spent only $96. If I remember correctly that was for 23 shrubs in 1-2 gal pots. It was a good deal and lots of fun.

Saturday morning is very busy. The folks there are nice and often you can talk them down in price or get them to toss in an extra plant.

Again, if you go and it is still wet, bring boots. If it's wet you will be in MUD, beautiful black mud. No credit cards, cash and local checks only.

Have fun. I'll be on the Cape this weekend or I would be there myself.

They cancelled this years sale. I just called to see what time they open and due to all the rain and mud they are completely cancelling the sale.

i am mad i have been holding off my new garden just for this!!
