Bridgewood Gardens 'ugly plant sale'

Bridgewood Gardens is having their "ugly plant sale", if anyone is interested.

I just ordered "Goodness Gracious" for $13. Had NOT planned on buying anymore this fall but...we know how that goes. I couldn`t pass that one up, it has haunted me ever since I first saw it, lol.

Minimum $25 order.

    Connie, define "need" please. ;)

    NEED !!!
Need is defined as an aquired craving! I want more and more hosta.

For me it means there are many kinds of hostas I long for, make lists for, dream about how they would look in my garden, etc..

Then reallity kicks in and I know I don't have the time, money, or strength, to put any more new hostas in my garden beds this year.

You probably don't have my problem. lol

    Or, you wouldn't ask!!!!!!

    Connie

PS: Hopefullly I can restrain myself in the Spring until I have a chance to access my beds and thin out or change hosta positions. Then I'll drag out that long list and get more!!!!!

I just bought 20 hostas from Bridgewood, including finally getting Mighty Mouse.....arrived on my doorstep less than 48 hours later, all looking good. The third year in a row I have ordered from them without a single problem. I just hope they add some more varieties for next year, because they are running out of plants that I want. I have gotten used to ordering my final plants of the season from them. Now, where to plant them??

    My order arrived today.
If they call these their "ugly plants", I can`t imagine what they`d call my poor dried up hostas.
One yellow leaf on Invincible, the rest fine.
One semi-faded leaf on a nice sized Goodness Gracious.
    Everything else looks perfect.
I would order again. But NOW...
    where to put them!?! lol

I received my plants on time in good condition. I bought 5 half-price plants which I could not find locally.
Two Krossa Regal were a real good deal, each 2 eyes, roots coming out of the pots. The other hostas are single eyes.
The usually dark-green Niagara falls is all yellow, hopefully only due to the fall starting next week.
The Spring Fling and Satisfaction are really small, possibly only 1-2 years after TC, but then they were only half price.

I always look there first to see if they have a particular hosta I am looking for because I like that their plants are a good size and in pots.

Hubby and I went to their Open House in June and bought 18 plants. Yes, I said 18 and there was a discount for people who showed up. All of them are healthy and have grown well, even this summer.

When I started collecting I bought some from Bridgewood. They thrived and the prices are great.

After reading this thread, I had to check them out. I ordered 6 hostas and they arrived today - boy they are nice hostas! I ordered Goodness Gracious (1 large eye), Thumbelina (3-4 eyes), Rick Rack (2 eyes) Quilted Hearts (2 large eyes), September Sun (2 eyes) and Kinba (3 eyes). A couple of yellow leaves, but other than that, I am impressed with how nice they look. They were packaged really well too. Thanks for sharing this great sale!

    always happy to enable, lol.
I was also very happy to see the fat, juicy roots on mine, when I finally planted them last week.

I ordered 18 hostas from them last week and can't wait to get them! In fact, I was $3.18 from the "$20 off a $100 order" and I emailed them to ask if they would just add one more hosta to the mix and give me the discount--they did! I'm SOOO excited...now, where to put them? I don't have nearly as many as most of you, so I have lots of places available. Thanks for letting us know about this sale!
