We've been to the Newport Flower show a few times when it first started 11 years ago. I remember the lectures were quite good so do check the schedule and plan to attend a lecture. The vendors set up on the lawn of the Rosecliff mansion and there were some interesting ones. The mansion had flower arrangements set up throughout and had some judged portions. Of course the scale is much smaller than RI or other flower show (so set your expectations correctly). I think it is worth going. We used to go to Newport every year for a weekend or two and often planned when to go based on this show or the Secret Garden tour. Now with the high costs to stay there we don't get there as often. It's too bad because there is so much to do in Newport: great restaurants, cultural exhibits, the mansions, shops, etc.

For those interested the Secret Garden Tour of the historic Point section gardens is happening this weekend June 16, 17 and 18th. I've been on this several times and it is well worth attending as well.
