I haven't, but that's exactly what to do with it , plant it facing south, in the sun, mulch it well. I did that with my Gelsemium sempervirens 'Margarita', which until the past few years, was not proven in zone 6. This year I planted a Trachelospermum that I hope will prove hardy here too.
