I could try taking a cutting of R.glauca later this spring. If the cuting doesn't take I also have some seedlings of it that I could send instead. These are supposed to be hybrids but I don't think they are because they look just like the mother. I'll know for sure once they bloom. I would be interested in Abraham Darby in return.

Thanks for the offer! Is it suckering at all? Suckers would be better than cuttings. I'd be glad to trade Abraham Darby cuttings for either, though.

No, I looked and there aren't any suckers. R.glauca is not much of a suckering plant, new stems come up from the base so it forms a vase shaped. I've never tried taking a cutting of it so I don't know how well it roots.

Let's trade cuttings in a month or two then. I think species roses are harder to root, but its worth a try. Should we talk via email in a couple weeks?
