You might be thinking Mountain Pride.

There is also a tomato widely sought in Missouri called "Show Me" - it was recently re-introduced but it is only available from a handful of regional seed companies.

And there's also a variety called Missouri Pink Love Apple, but that's a long way from either Missouri Pride or Mountain Pride F1, which mulio mentioned and does make sense to me as well.

There used to be a hybrid tomato called Missouri Surprise, but it was better known by its official name, MoCross Surprise. The breeder was University of Missouri, Columbia; and the parentage was Mozark x Sioux. It was an early, red "semi-determinate" or "semi-indeterminant," F1 hybrid, early, prolific, uniform ripening, resistant to radial cracking with heavier foliage than Sioux and resistant to fusarium wilt.

MoCross Surprise, aka Missouri Surprise, no longer is available because Mozark went out of production which also killed the availability of Avalanche hybrid (Mozark x Glamour). Both Sioux and Glamour still are readily available and one could produce both MoCross Surprise (I have) and Avalanche (I have not).

I have a small amount of viable Mozark seeds and see someone ask about both Avalanche and Missouri Surprise every year here at GW. But everytime I offered Mozark seeds or the F1 Mozark x Sioux that I still have, no one responded or followed up. So, I just figure it was idle interest. Oh well.
