Ray, what do you do to your soil in your containers to get it ready for next seasons crop? I am getting ready to plant out this years seedlings but so far I have not done anything to amend the leftover soil in my containers.

When I pull out the rootball, I try to extract about 1 cubic foot of old potting mix, then I add the same in new potting mix, stir it in and add Lime and Tomato-tone fertilizer. I will do this again in Year 3 as well, then in Year 4, I will empty out the 'Tainer completely, and reload with 100% new potting mix, using the old stuff somewhere else in the yard.
