just found out that my reg mailman went on vacation for a week boy is he ever luck to be gone :)) but the poor sub:)) i told the post master that she can call me & I will go pick up the boxes :)) for the sub never gets to our place till 4-6pm that is to long of a day for the plants if its hot. so she will call me.

I thought my postmaster was going to has a hurnia lifting the box :)) he was funnen with me about all the boxes I recieved today :))

by my computor so I can hear her chime :))
also in the bag of goodies were birthday mints ,assorted flavor teas,a garden center note pad to write down things that I forgoten or that I should do :)
strawberry & cream savers & a luna chocolate peacan pie in witch I have eaten for it is lunch time & I
was hungry :)) very good never seen them around here.
good thing or I'd have to go on my fiber diet agin :))

Now as for the wounderfull plants !!! my girl you must have some powerfull soil out your way wish you could have shared that with me also hehehehe
she sent to me siberrian iris, carex Hachijonsis everygold grass, (Japanese fan grass "MY FAV") poochella
ribbon grass, baby Phlox -david , Aster purple&yelloweye
Aster lavender ,& also a Yellow aster I know they are all going to look great in my garden if they will adapt to my soil ok :))

Glad you liked your box Birthday Girl Sue.
The Japanese Fan grass is splendid. I've had it for about 6 years and it just sat there until I moved it from full sun, to more protected part sun. Now it is finally spreading a bit, nice and slow. Enjoy it!

The asters that I had to trim back are white, not yellow. Very delicate little 1-inch flowers that show up in droves in late summer/Fall. Tall suckers too! LOL- you might not get many blooms this year, but they will be there for you next year.

I really did enjoy both boxes i have recieved so far.
both your box & rewards held plant I didnt have :)) will I do have ribbon grass like your poochella grass :)) very pretty plants but yes it can get out of control .

well I need to get some weeding done .

i can attest that those asters are TALL
mine are unbelieveable that the Pooch sent when it was my month.

sue i'm working on your box, it's just so dang hot, i would welcome a cool rain to be out there digging, etc.

Sue, here are those white aster-like flowers, panorama and closeup with my dirty fingernail LOL> : ) they are nice fillers in Fall or late Summer bouquets. Maybe someone can identify them further.

I tried to post last night about another box that arrived yesterday from beth_b_kodiak :)))
so will try agin tonight :)))

beth sent me a coffee mug with a Polar bear on it that I will use dailly for my other cup just got boken a few weeks ago :))

So now I can sip coffee while I plant the alaska wildflower seeds that she sent.
& when I finish planting I can then enjoy a game of solitary with the deck of playing card with alaska wildflowers on them, :))) while I munch on a pack of ritz snak MIx :))) Oh also in the box was a pack of hallmark stickeroni stickers :)))
thank you beth the coffee cup will sit next to the tea pot I recieved from rewards1 :)))

we are finaly getting some baddly needed rain this evening :))

I'm trying for tomorrow or Tuesday. Its been beastly outdoors with all these 90+ temps. It's 125 degrees (as high as the themometer goes) in the greenhouse, had to prop door open for fear the glass would break from the heat. (7 trays of seedlings got cooked last spring!) I've been trying to sprinkle twice a day, and the plants still are droopy. All we need is one good rain and everything will revive like magic!

swear for just saturday I went shopping to buy a flag
to replace the tattered one I have .
I just did not or could not find the one I wanted so ended up with none :))) so glad for yours is great just the right size :))) I trully do love it .
in with the flag was some mint tea MMMM will have it later.

Now as for the really great plants hyacinth buls in with
some very big star of bethleham my they are huge:))

oh & he also will enjoy the jar of Amanda strawberry preserves you sent :)) while I make use of the tall tin vase for all my cut flowers , & the ceramic flower planter ,
One thing great about this birthday robin is that everyone will recive something new from another state :))
your store have many things we can't find here in ours .

Sue, I just love your chair. I'll confess in the first photo, I couldn't see the chair easily, but that's just me! You have done an astounding amount of work planting that and with great results. I used to do sphagnum moss hanging baskets just crammed with plants, but the chair is wonderful, beautiful.

Thank heavens it has finally cooled down. This 90+ degree has been rough on the plants. Hard to believe its August already! Sue, you still have 2 more days to go!

I recived a box today from plantladyjan :))
in the box was pk obedient plant, silver king , princess spiera lavender lady flowering kale & my favoret of all
is the southern bell Hibiscus jan thank you so much,
I have put them in water till after lunch then i will go pot them up :)) till I can get back into my garden,
also thank you for the very nice welcome sign its going
out by my entrance way :)) jan made me some seed packets also that will come in handy for my newbie robin I have started. & then there was a pair of green gardening gloves, never have to many of them I go through them very fast around here .

recieved the box today thank you since tina & i was in both birthday robin's she combined the box into one :))
so just going to post all on both robins :))

there was a square cookie tin with 6 glad bulbs.
& then in the bigger box was 8pks of seeds
zinnias ,poppies,marigolds, daisys,sweet williams,
sweet peas,aster,& baby's Breath .
also in the box was 2 spider lily bulbs, &4 other bulbs
not sure but thing they are daffodill maybe,
she sent a 1.75oz millstone vanilla nut flavor coffee
witch i will fix tomorrow :))enjoy it while I read my daily gw news .
& a shopping list note pad . & also for the pretty card .

had to let you all know i recieved a very nice box from shelbyraymom today by ups :)))

inside I found a very nice tropical canna plant, A mini rose :)) to add to my collection , an unknown grass but I will find out from my gardening buddie yung mi , also was purple fountain grass , a wondering jew plant, anyone tell me do I bring that one in also for the winter in z 5 ??
best of all some bamboo I can't think of the name right now but I know you all know the type I mean
love have wanted to get it just put it off thanks a bunch :)) tammy
Tammy also sent a welcome windchime have it hanging on my back porch a hand towel with sunflowers on it so cute , a nice pack of jobes fertilizer spikes for my plants , and then she topped off the box with 10dutch Irise bulbs, 6 anemons , & 6 freesias , tammy you did a wounderfull job sending the plants all arrived is very good shape it is cool today so going out to get them planted before the rain :)))

I was waiting for the daff bulbs to arrive before sending the box out. I suppose I can always send them out at a later date. I will make you up a nice box of plants and get them out this week. I'm not sure when the daff's will even get here anyway.

More poor plants never get to live in one place too long, poor things, smiles.
Have been potting some of them up in hopes of finding a farm house soon!!! Wish us luck.
