Trouble rears it's ugly head again in my garden!!

Terror strikes again in my garden!! some of my eggplants and one of my tomatoes is completely flat after a rain. What happened? They have survived previous rain but now they're completely flat??!! what gives? is it something completely unrelated? The main stem is standing up but the only portion is laid flat. Is there any saving these, will they stand up or not? Thanks!!
