Hi all! I'm a first time poster, long time reader. I have 8 transplanted cherry tomato plants (from a farmer's market) and I planted them around the first week of May and they're already about 4' > 4 1/2' tall!

I planted them in 12" containers, pruned off the leaves and side branches below the first flower cluster, kept the first two suckers above the first flower cluster, used potting soil w/black kow (organic fertilizer) and a little bit of Oscomote.

I live in central NC and they get a good 6+ hours of sun. Yet, there's only 3-4 flower clusters off the main stem and it's over the top of the 24" cages (I'll stake them later on).

I honestly don't remember them growing this fast so early and I'm concerned that there's so few flower clusters...

Did I do something wrong? Is it still early enough to get 8 more cherry tomato plants and start new? Too much nitrogen? Do I need to start new plants from the tops of these?
