I *birthed* a butterfly

I noticed that a cocoon/chrysalis (whatever) was attached to one of my brugs and had been keeping an eye on it. Yesterday when I looked for it, it had fallen off into the mulch. Since I knew we were going to get some big rain last night and this morning, I put it in a jar with some grass. This morning, there's a butterfly....I am thinking that I wait till it's wings dry and straighten out, then I release it? This is the first time I've done this :).

TIA for any suggestions.

Kristi
