Help troubleshoot leaf problem (pics included)

A few of my older plants are exhibiting the following leaf discoloration, here's pics of the progression.

I suspect a nutrient problem, but that's as far as I can get.

These are Bloody Butcher and Stupice tomatoes in Bucket SWCs. They have a ring of fertilizer at the top (I think these have GardenTone), and also get a half strength dose of Foliage Pro in the reservoir. Moisture level should be good. We have had a lot of hot weather the past month. All of these plants have been very productive.

Can you brush off that stuff that looks like sugar or salt crystals on the leaves, or are they discolored spots? It's hard to tell, since the photos aren't from very close.

The white spots can't be brushed off, they are discolorations.

spider mites? I have a bad infestation this year and the stippling of leaves looks very similar.

It's not powdery mildew, but I checked closely under some leaves and I think it is spider mites.

I'm going to try Neem oil, but any other suggestions for something not too toxic would be appreciated.
