Silly toads

These toads decided to lay their eggs in my garden last night. Now the sun is out and shinning and will soon dry up the little buggers. What should I do? I have no rain water anywhere and it'll be too late before I let my water age. Is there something I can do to water to make it safe for the eggs?

Yes, get some water conditioner from the local pet shop; it will fix the water in seconds. If you have well water, it will be fine.

The eggs our toads laid last year in the fish pond were small, round black! I put most in a bucket of rainwater & they hatched to a certain pollywog level (head & tail) & then died off ... wonder what happened? Not that I need MORE toads as I have mentioned in an earlier posting!!
