Sounds like a small drop leaf table would work...or a parlor table. Go to antiques shops and see what you find.

Thanks, Linda, but I wanted something to enclose the components. Looking at my DH's TV on the wall is bad enough!

How about a commode?

I use an antique pie safe that I bought at a yard sale. Mine is definitely on the shabby side, but you could find one that is in better shape than mine.

I cut a hole in the screen to run the wires through the back.

My daughter is using an old dresser. The sections that the drawers slide into are completely enclosed so she removed one drawer to house the DVD player and stores her DVDs in the remaining drawers. She drilled a hole in the back of the drawer section to run the wires to the DVD player.

I was going to suggest an old end table or nightstand with a door. You could remove the center of the door & replace with screening of some kind or just leave the door off entirely.
