    Good one jscout!

LOL, thanks, jscout, I think we all needed that!

To heck with 1" gas lines and 50amp cooktops, a 60w light bulb is all you really need!

Bluestar or Capital Culinarian are the best - everything else is CRAPPPPP!!!!

umm, Cindy had the Barbie doll kitchen for inspiration... I'm just saying the Hasbro is the way to go.

Michelle--This is yet another prank thread from "Cindy" both here and in Kitchens. Must be someone's idea of fun. It's apparent that we don't appreciate her shenanigans. If she were a serious member, a serious answer would gladly be given.

I kinda like the pranks. If you think about it, the posts are usually "timely." At least CK is known now, so people can choose to read or ignore. At least until "she" finds another nom de plume.

I think Cindy (and her twin brother Danny Grover) like to poke fun at those of us who enjoy sweating over the the tiniest of details. The question in this thread came off somewhat "normal" so I can see why MichelleDT didn't pick up on it. The ones in the kitchen forum have been a little more clear cut -- I particularly liked the "I just finished cleaning my kitchen, and it still looks filthy, what should I do??".

Stooxie, Do you think I can Hot-Rod my Easy-Bake by using a 100W bulb?

    OK....I didn't get it!

"Stooxie, Do you think I can Hot-Rod my Easy-Bake by using a 100W bulb?"

    Hahaha!

Watch out you'll void the warranty! ;-)

Forget about hot rodding it. It's such a waste of energy. The nobel prize should go to the person who can make it cook with an LED bulb.

Hey, Will, it's possible! Let's ask Mojavean to show us the way and then get ready:

willtv, no need to Hot Rod your Easy-Bake it has already been done.

    Look ma, no bulbs!

Some worried the federal phase-out of 100-watt incandescent bulbs would cause a perhaps unforeseen demise: the Easy Bake Oven. Without the powerful wattage, how would budding bakers turn out their (admittedly gooey) goods? First introduced in 1963, the iconic play appliance allows kid chefs to bake real cookies, cakes, and other confections, originally relying on a 100-watt bulb as the heat source for its easy baking. But the more energy-efficient bulbs, like fluorescents and LEDs, aren't hot enough to do the job.

Hasbro answered this with a total redesign, its 11th since its 1963 debut. "This gave us a reason to do it completely differently," said Michelle Paolino, a vice president of global brand strategy and marketing at Hasbro, according to a USA Today report. The bulb has been replaced with a heating element similar to a traditional oven. But the most apparent change to young cooks is its look, sleek and purple with Atomic-Age curves. (Parents are most likely to notice the price increase now $49.99, up from $29.99.)

    To the OP,

Everyone has a different opinion (especially on GW). You should go to different dealers, talk to different people and put your hands on each product. One always stands out. Also, make sure to ask the different sales people you meet how each brand compares in service (for when something goes wrong). I'm not talking about what their warranty says, but more their service record with their own customers. You will notice common themes for different brands arise real quick.

    Hope that helps,

    Anthony

    Caddidaddy55,

    That's quite the update.
Do you suppose it will be available with a rotisserie and self-clean like the CC?

This might even be better....much less expensive.

Here is a link that might be useful: Miele Oven 10.5

Well, I have started work on the prototype. We will base the initial model onthis handheld flashlight, which will allow us to do our "cooking" unfettered by needless plugs and cords. We expect the "Hotrod" EZ-Bake-inarian to fully cook a platter of Hamburger Helper in about 4 seconds.

Here is our prototype photographed in an early system test.

Michelle, Does that Miele have an induction top?

Sorry...it is radiant BUT it does have multi heat zones so can be used with your 1/2 and 1" pans. Shipping is only $2999.
