'Pinkie's' - Valentine Table

Finally Got Time to put together another Valentine Table.

This table is a collection of Dishes, Glasses and some accessories from Flea Mkts...Also, from CTS

The Pink Floral Dishes I bought at a Flea Mkt last Summer.

They are 'Norway Rose, by Cunningham & Pickett...the White under plates - CTS..

The white cake stand - Home Interiors..which came in a set of three sizes. Napkins I just got (shopping spree) the pearl napkin rings - part of a set I made. The tablecloth is a remnant piece of moire that I bought for last year's Easter Table.

I took Vintage Valentine Post Cards, and 'boxed' them around a small vase, to give the centerpiece an interesting focal point.

The Flatware - TJMax...

I made the Lace Placemats from Runners that I cut and sewed.

The footed Glasses were from last Fall's - Giant Yard Sale.

Little Tureen is a piece from my Ironstone collection..

The votive holders are pale pink (hard to tell) dessert dishes from CTS and I mounted them on small glass candle holders, to give them some height.

S&Ps from CTS and the little underplate was from Flea Mkt.

Cranberry glass... from the local Consignment Shop in town.

This little angel is part of a set I bought years ago. They were Christmas Decos.

.

Hope you 'Pinkies' and 'Non Pinkies'

enjoyed all the Pink!!

Jane, I'm definitely a "pinkie" and especially so, when I see your beautiful table! So pretty! I really like those plates and your cherub under glass! Great job sewing the placemats too!

Pinkie Slinkey, you ROCK girl. That is really pretty, and I especially love the cherub-angel in the cloche. That's one for our cloche album for sure.
Wonderful idea to use those vintage postcards!

    Beautiful!! Jane.
I've never been able to quite get pink "right" so usually avoid it but this is lovely. I loooove your rose plates, the glassware and the flatware. The cloche and centerpiece are wonderful.
You pulled it all together in balance very very well :).

Ohhhh, slinkey jane! You've certainly made me love pink in this tablescape! The rose plates are GORGEOUS! Your cloche angel with the lace is so elegant! Love how you used repetition of the lace throughout your table...& with the pearl napkin rings.

I love EVERYTHING about this table...the postcards around the flower centerpc certainly does create a great focal point. And the pink moire tablecloth you made brought a "smile" to my face right away in the first pic! I made one of my DD's a prom dress from that same material...will have to dig out a pic of DD & GD ("dressed up") in that same material! LOL!

TFS your wonderful pics & sharing the history. Jeanne S.

OMG, Jane, I just bought your cherub's brother the other day at a consignment shop down in town! I need to go take a pic of him to show you! Too funny!

Jane, you've set such a beautifully elegant table - love everything and especially those plates! I've saved the name just in case I can find some. Love the pearl napkin rings - care to tell how you made them? The tablecloth is so pretty and the lace placemats add even more. Good idea about the vintage Valentine postcards.

I've always loved pink but am a recent convert to pink in home decor thanks to finding pink transferware last year and seeing how the "Pinkies" here use it. I'll be finding more when I finally get out shopping.

Ahhhhhhh, what a romantic, beautiful table, Jane! I'm crazy about your Norway Rose plates. Gosh, they're wonderful . . . and so appropriate for this Valentine's Season! Your flower arrangement is great and ties in well with your dishes, too. Good idea for the placemats. I'll have to remember that one! Your idea to add the cherub to your cloche for the centerpiece is fantastic! The pearl garland at the bottom and the lace behind him really set him off well. I'm going to need some ideas as to what to do with his "brother"!

That is lovely Jane..all the details attended to!
Love your centerpiece..those postcards are sweet!
Are you ready for the storm??

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments.

DD..I visit your blog often and I must say YOU always inspire with your Beautiful tables. Each one is so unique and so well thought out with every detail.

karen...thanks for thinking that my 'First Attempt' on a cloche, is worthy of the album... I'm flattered.

yachter...I'm lucky that DH doesn't mind sitting at this
pink 'ladies table'...he's a good sport!!

wanda...glad you enjoyed the 'description' of everything. I know I enjoy that too when I see someones table here.

mm...until I joined Holiday, I was never into the 'Pink' thing. I've seen so many beautiful tablesettings here, that have inspired me, that little by little I've been working on my collection of pink. Now I just love it.

jeanne... I would love to see the picture of your DD's and DG's moire dress! I did lots of sewing for my DD when she was little and now my DGD.. and I just love seeing what others have made. I snapped up this fabric last year at $1 a yard! It's usually so expensive and I felt so lucky. I actually bought it for last years Easter Table b/c I knew my DGD would love it! She loves anything pink!

jay...from one 'Pink Transferware Lover' to another... I hear ya! I ALWAYS enjoy seeing yours..got anything new lately, to show off??

LG...When I bought those plates at a Flea Market...it was at the end of the day. The woman let me have 8 of them for $12. They really are even more beautiful in person and feel so wonderful too. As for the pearl Napkin rings...I showed how I made them last year. I will look to see if I still have my pics on Photobkt. All I did was take plastic rings and used pearl by the yrd, roping and wound it around until completley covered. Then I hot glued the ends to the ring.

Lynn... I'll be waiting...actually 'We'...Cherub's twins, will be waiting to see what you do with him!
After I took pictures of him in that cloche...I was thinking
that I should have used the larger cloche... I think he could have used a little more room around him! Glad you liked it though.

    Thanks - Kathleen...'Table Queen' !! lol
I think the post cards get lost in the photos, but the effect IRL is realy pretty.
NO I'm NOT ready for the storm...Are YOu??

Very pretty table, Jane. My favorite part is your new cloche with the cherub and your vintage cards on the centerpiece. The dishes, silverware and all the extra touches are great too. Thanks for sharing a little "history" about each piece, I love hearing how things have been acquired and then put together in a beautiful tablescape like that. Luvs
