Custom walk in shower glass door width

For our walk in shower which measures 40" by 52", on the long side will be an opening in the middle for a frameless glass door. Two perpendicular walls will be fully tiled and the remaining two walls will have a knee wall with glass above.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to what a comfortable door opening would be? We were thinking either 26" or 28". The glass guy said it can be anything we want!

I think wider openings are better, more comfortable. I think the glass guy told us 30" for ours.

Our walk in is 60 x 52 with the walk in on the short side. We are doing French doors, 26" each. The glass company said it made no difference to them whether we did fixed or stationary panels. Since this will be our roll-in wheelchair shower if that ever becomes necessary we thought the widest possible opening would be the best choice. HTH.
