Although no matter what the material, with 1x1's the grout will help against slipping, I tend to agree with you, that glass will be a little on the slippery side. The same with polished stone.

The only thing I'll add in addition to Bill's comments is that a hotel I stayed at a few months ago had mosaic glass tile on the shower floor.

I questioned the maids...they HATED it.
