Do you know who manufactured the floor? If so, I'd try to reach them with this question. Sorry!

Is your floor really linoleum? Real linoleum? Or is it one of the newer types of plastic floors that are usually shiney no-wax types?

If it is linoleum, you may be able to sand it down to the point where the stain has not soaked in and then wax the whole floor again. Linoleum can be lightly sanded.

Most linoleum floors are kept waxed and maybe only the wax has the yellowing and the floor is fine under the wax.

Or is your floor one of the newer types of plastic flooring and not linoleum? Acetone will eat into plastic and the finish on the floor is probably ruined. Also the design on plastic flooring is usually only printed on and does not go all the way solidly through. In that case your floor is toast.
