$2500 is tough to get a quality pro range. Bertazzoni is a good look for the money and will give you better performance than the Jenn-Airs and Kitchenaids. I would suggest Capital if you can get it for that price. Thermador is normally much more for a new one. 5 Star, American and Blue Star are a little new to most markets and could be tougher for service. If you can stretch your budget buy a Viking - by far the best out there!!!

Bertazoni and FiveStar seem to be the only ones close to your price range. I do not see any listed below $2500 unless there is some special a dealer is having.

Between those two the biggest difference is open vs sealed burners and non convection vs convection oven. I looked at Berta and it was a pro look more then a pro range. No Fivestar to check out in my area.

We have narrowed it down to a 30" Electrolux Icon (known company with good service), FiveStar (open burners and a good price but service/parts are a ?) and Bertazzoni (looks good but is it as good as it looks?). Leaning towards Electrolux. We welcome any comments. The FiveStar is form an old American company down south but is not well known on Long Island, NY.

Any good appliance repair person (or restaurant range repair person) should be able to service virtually all of the above all gas models without electronics. Basically, they all work the same way with a limited number of parts. They function just like a restaurant range or the old Wedgewood ranges.
