sunflower vs downpour shower heads on extension arms

Hi everyone,

Can someone please describe to me the difference in feel of the water coming out from a sunflower (6" or 8") shower head vs a downpour (6") shower head?

I am trying to choose between the two for a shower enclosure that is small but special in that I use it a lot. I don't want the spray to be so big that it essentially hits the shower curtains or so narrow that it does not cover your shoulders. The enclosure is about 2.5 feet square with a 10" tiled in rim and shower curtains.

Also, I am definitely putting in a hand-held shower on a wall bar. Do you think it is overkill to have a hand-held shower that can can be used as an overhead shower AND one of the above showers in one small shower area?

I just went thru a similar experience this weekend. We had purchased a 6 inch sunflower type and came to realize we don't have the water pressure to support it. Determine in minutes how long it takes to fill a gallon jug. I determined my water output was 2 gallons per minute. the sunflower unit I had was 2.5 gallons per minute. Sounded close enough. I snapped it in and the water ran hose like out of the sunflower, just didn't have enough pressure to dispurse water thru all the holes at a steady enough stream. So maybe doublecheck your pressure to see if you can support either fixture. Just a tip I learned htis weekend!

Scott, thank you so much for this info. I contacted Danze directly and they could not give me much information. The sunflower has a jet like action and the downpour has a more soothing(in a different way) rain like feeling. The wider the shower head the softer the flow.
